The Malone Kayak Assist is a system that allows a paddler to use ratcheting cradles to lift a kayak onto a roof rack. The included picture shows a system with extender legs. My system has suction cups that attach to the side of the car instead of extenders. The cradles for attaching the lift and securing the kayak to the roof rack are part of the system. This system sells for $500.00 new. The roof top cradles are two years old.
