For sale is a "SuperStroke" putting system golf training system. The system contains an instructional booklet, a DVD instructional video, an original model "SuperStroke" putter grip and installation tools. The UPC for the system is 892560001005. The golf world first took note of the "SuperStroke" grip when K.J. Choi of South Korea showed up for the 2008 Sony Open with a grip on his putter that was about three times the thickness of a "normal" 2008 putter grip. Choi's won the tournament and his victory generated a lot of talk about putter grip size and grip pressure. The underlying theory behind these "fat grip" putters was that a larger grip enabled lesser grip pressure which, in turn, lessened the probability of undesirable wrist action during the putting stroke. Since 2008 the rate of adoption of oversized putter grips by PGA Tour and world tour players has been steady and significant. A recent (2025) survey indicated that there are 45 PGA Tour players now using 32 different SuperStroke putter models. It is probably not an overstatement to say that the majority of the world's best players are currently putting with an oversized putter grip. The putter for sale is the historic black rubber and metal model from the original "SuperStroke" development team. It is the same model played in the 2008 Sony Open by Choi who had purchased the grip off of a TV infomercial several months prior to the tournament. Local golfers might be interested to learn that much of the early design, development and marketing of the "SuperStroke" putter grip was done in the Milwaukee area.
