HEAVY guitarist looking to jam/collaborate
Main goal is writing heavy, unique songs. Originals first, maybe some reworked covers. Recording is the focus, and if it leads to live shows, cool.
Guitars/Tuning:
My rig covers a lot of low end — not really chasing a bassist, but if you’ve got something exciting to add, I’m open.
Drums:
Not into modern metal machine-gun style. I’m after groove and feel: think Copeland, Bonham, Chuck Biscuits, Moon, Ward, Budgie. Also into that Motown pocket — Clyde Stubblefield, Benny Benjamin, Uriel Jones — drummers who live in the backbeat. But with a modern, heavier spin that matches the weight of the music.
Vocals/Lyrics:
Looking for someone with confidence, originality, and a unique perspective. Stage presence is great, but the foundation has to be real talent. If you’ve put yourself out there and people respond because it’s genuinely good — not just because they’re being polite — then I’d like to hear from you.
Not looking for Cookie Monster vocals, screamo, or constant harsh screaming. Tasteful screams or growls in the right spots are cool, but melody is key. Hooks and vocal lines that stick in people’s heads are what make songs last. Just screaming for the sake of screaming? Been there, done that — boring. Male or female makes no difference. I can do some backups now, and maybe more later.
What I’m looking for:
I’ve been at this a while, so I’m not looking to jam with beginners still figuring out their first songs. You should already be comfortable on your instrument, with ideas to contribute. Bring your own gear, have transportation, and make the time to actually create. Please no djent, Knocked Loose/Lorna Shore, black/death metal, or mask-trend stuff.
Influences/vibes:
High on Fire, YOB, Windhand, OM, Sleep, Sabbath, QOTSA, Kyuss, Type O, Danzig, Bauhaus, Mission UK, Sisters of Mercy, Zeppelin, Electric Wizard, Ufomammut, early Mastodon, MBV, Joy Division, Portishead, The Smiths, Morrissey, Discharge, Slayer, Slowdive, The Church, Cocteau Twins, Ride.
Yeah, the influences are wide and a little weird — but that’s the point. It’s about chasing uniqueness: heavy groove, power, dynamics, space, and atmosphere.

There’s an older track up there (not what I’m writing now, but shows where I came from) plus a bunch of interviews and other content.
If it clicks and becomes a band — great. No stress, just good music.
