Jazz/Experimental Combo

Im interested in starting or joining a jazz combo that plays straight ahead jazz and also explores abstract/avant styles.

Im a 30 year old saxophone player, I studied jazz performance in college, but that was years ago and im looking to get back into playing.

Ideally would have a 3 or 4 piece combo, and play some standards along with original tunes.

Some musical influences are Archie Shepp, Phil Woods, Lee Ranaldo, Michael Gira, Ben Webster, Jimmy Witherspoon, Dexter Gordon, Mary Lou Williams, among many others.

Feel free to reach out, as I said, im just getting back into it after years of not playing. Im not concerned about skill level as much as just getting together and jamming guilt free!
