Here is a Bluesman Vintage El Dorado 5 string PJ.
Black nitro light relic finish with a 4 ply Tortoise shell pickguard.
The body is roasted Paulonia.
Neck is roasted maple with a rosewood fingerboard.
1 7/8” at the nut. Neck profile is what they call “chunky”.
I received this bass in May of this year and had MAJOR upgrades done.
I shipped the bass to my very good friend and bass guru at Mad Man Music in Knoxville TN.
He has done several builds for me and knows exactly how I like my basses setup.
He beveled the fret ends to match the rolled edges of the fingerboard.
He did a fret leveling, crowning and polishing. Vastly improving the feel and playability.
We upgraded the bridge to a Hipshot A style bridge which helped improve the string spacing.
We both thought the P pickup was weaker than the J, so we had Howard Ulyate make a PJ set of pickups for us. This bass is passive. Controls are V-V-T
Upon receiving this bass the tone control did nothing. That was also fixed.
Super lightweight at 7lbs 15oz on my postal scale.
Comes with Schaller S locks.
Comes with a brand new Barton gig bag
Over $800 in upgrades. My loss is your gain
I would consider a trade of a Lakland 55-94, or 55-02 plus cash
