I am the original owner. I bought this amp to use in my recording studio as a monitor amp due to its excellent audio specs, but occasionally I used it on a gig. One day while mounted in an SKB rack case, it slid off the top of an equipment case I was rolling. The case took the brunt of the impact which saved the amp, but caused rips in the rack ears. The amp still works perfectly fine. Aside from the damaged ears, the amp is in very nice cosmetic condition.

It's a heavy amp (48 pounds) so given its weight and the weakened rack ears, I would recommend using it in a fixed installation, such as a recording studio or home theater setup. 270 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

From the manual: Matica amplifiers use the newest generation of linear semiconductor devices for improved performance. Their high slew rate of 80 V/ms insures that they will not generate significant TIM (transient intermodulation) distortion. The outstanding signal to noise ratio (typically better than 103 dB, A weighted, below rated output) and very low harmonic distortion (typically below .009% midband) make them ideally suited for the most critical studio monitoring applications.
