4/4 violin with solid fiberglass case with external pocket for sheet music and accessories
All solid tone woods - spruce top, maple sides, back and neck.
No label. Violinists who played it reported that it's probably American-made rather than Chinese.
Recent neck reset and full set up.
A few professional violinists who have played it were impressed with the overall sound quality - well-balanced across the strings, volume and tone. A good step above the average student violin and far better than any Chinese violin under $1500. One said a music store would ask two to three times more than my price.
Includes solid fiberglass case w/ outside pocket for sheet music and accessories. Also includes new set of Piastro Tonica strings, Wittner tailpiece w/ fine tuners, extra French eye endpin, practice mute, rosin. Bows not included.
I'm not a player so I have to rely on facts and details I've been given by violinists and a luthier.
As with any musical instrument, a buyer should examine it and play it in person.
I'm on the south side of Milwaukee, just off I-94 South.
$500 firm. No offers. Cash only.
I have to break even on this instrument. Bought it for a grandson who's moved on.
If you're looking for a bargain, you're better off just buying a cheap Chinese violin. Just make sure it stays in tune, the seams don't open, and the top doesn't split or collapse.
