I had a kid over winter and don’t have any time to really touch the motorcycle. Last season it had fresh brake fluid put through it; spark plug put in; and a few smaller details hashed out related to the turn signals.
I paid 1000 for it and I think it was fair. Since then, I’ve put some work into it but I did let the battery go flat. During this process, I learned that the bike was crashed at some point. This was my first bike so I had no idea what to look for.
Despite all that I did ride it during the winter to the Dells and back without problems. It even snowed on the adventure.
It has to warm up to ride well and I’m not sure if that’s it’s personality or something else. I tried to balance the carbs but dont really have a solid method. I just ride motorcycles for fun, I’m not really too interested in the details.
A battery, a balance, and some fresh fuel and its good enough. Including the bags and windscreen for the 800.
