The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring a full-time Facility Cleaner to join our team at the Milwaukee campus. This position reports to the Facility Manager and works 40 hours/week with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Key accountabilities:
Perform janitorial cleaning tasks in a fast-paced commercial building which includes cleaning and disinfecting high use public and non-public spaces (hallways, classrooms, break rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, doorways etc.)
Use of specialty cleaning equipment
Restock supplies and maintain proper inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment
Maintain all WHS cleaning equipment in good working order
Work collaboratively with team of Facility Maintenance Specialists on tasks and projects
Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
Qualifications:

Ability to take directions to work independently and efficiently
Ability to navigate emotional aspects of animal welfare work
Ability to successfully meet the physical demands of the job, which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ability to maintain electronic inventory lists
Hiring range: $15.91 - $17.78/hour
