L&R Lawn Equipment & Repair is looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined Entry-Level Service Technician to join our shop full time or part time!
Are you the person your friends call when their mower won't start? Do you enjoy working with your hands and figuring out how things work? This is a perfect opportunity to turn those skills into a career. We are willing to train the right person who has a great attitude and a basic understanding of tools.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Equipment Preparation: Clean tractors and equipment thoroughly before they go in for service to ensure a professional work environment.
Assembly & Delivery Setup: Unbox and assemble new equipment, performing "pre-delivery inspections" (PDI) to ensure everything is fueled, tested, and ready for the customer.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform services like oil changes, spark plug replacements, and air filter swaps.
Basic Repairs: Assist senior techs with larger jobs and handle simpler fixes like belt replacements and tire repairs.
Sharpening: Learn to professionally sharpen mower blades and chainsaw chains.
Shop Support: Help keep the service bay organized and assist with loading/unloading customer equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical Aptitude: You don't need to be a master mechanic yet, but you should know your way around a wrench and a screwdriver.
Attention to Detail: You take pride in making sure a new tractor looks spotless and runs perfectly before it hits a customer's driveway.
Eagerness to Learn: You aren't afraid to ask questions and you take direction well.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet in a shop environment.
Reliability: You’re someone we can count on to be here when the doors open.
Why Join L&R?
Paid Training: Get paid while you learn the trade from experienced pros.
Career Path: We want to help you grow into a Lead Technician role.
Tool Assistance: We can help you start building your professional tool set.
Work in a local shop where we treat our team like family.
