2nd shift: 4pm - 11pm - weekdays and every other weekends
3rd shift: 11pm - 8am - weekdays and every other weekends (awake shifts)
rovide care for TWO individuals with mental health disorders, ADDICTION DISORDER AND DEMENTIA in a residential setting. Residents are impaired and challenging behaviors individuals, and require close behavioral monitoring and supervision. The position requires CBRF CERTIFICATION following the resident's Care Plan in assuring resident safety,. Duties include monitoring residents' physical and emotional well-being and reporting conditions to management. This position participates in rehabilitation services; help with personal hygiene, maintaining the RESIDENTS home WITH CLEANING AND LAUNDRY, meal preparation, and medication ADMINISTRATION. These positions require documentation skills.
Monitor residents physical and emotional well-being and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to management.
Provide support and personal care to mentally ill individuals.
Observe and influence consumers behavior, communicating and interacting with them to help improve their symptoms of a mental health crisis to assist them staying in their home.
Promote consumer skills in coping with their mental illness to promote recovery principles, wellness and independence.
Supervise oral medications following physician's prescriptions and orders and maintain records in accordance with specified procedures.
Take and record measures of residents' mental health symptoms, document progress, and record information for clinical and billing purposes.
Encourage consumer to participate in social, recreational, and other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills and develop social relationships
Aid residents in performing activities of daily living and maintain a clean and orderly home environment
Valid drivers license and insurance
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work flexible hours and unconventional schedules, including evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays
Able to pass Care Giver background requirements per state law
Regular attendance and punctuality (may need to cover shift until relief worker arrives)
Must be compassionate and have the desire to work with individuals with mental illness who experience moments of crisis
work experience (2+ years preferred)
Minimum: $12.00 (compensation depends on experience)
