Now Hiring: Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Transportation Responsibilities – Waukesha Area
Brookfield Adult Center is currently hiring for a full-time mixed-role position combining Direct Support Professional (DSP) duties with client transportation responsibilities. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team serving adults with varying support needs.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
No weekends or holidays!
### DSP Responsibilities (8:45 AM – 1:30 PM)
- Assist in creating meaningful daily activities with fellow staff members
- Support clients with personal cares as needed
- Assist with lunch supervision and feeding assistance for members requiring support
- Help engage and accompany members in community activities and outings
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional support to all clients
### Transportation Responsibilities
Hours:
7:30 AM – 8:45 AM
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Responsibilities include:
- Transporting clients to and from Brookfield Adult Center on scheduled routes
- Safely operating a handicap-accessible wheelchair van
- Assisting clients with loading/unloading and securing wheelchairs properly during transport
- Maintaining a safe and professional transportation environment
### Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability and willingness to assist individuals with mobility needs
- Comfortable operating a handicap-accessible vehicle
- Must pass a background check
No experience necessary — we are willing to train the right candidate!
