Replace the worn out, broken rope starter on your Tecumseh. This came of a Simplicity snowblower.....7 or 8 horsepower as I recall. I believe this recoil will work on a Tecumseh engine up to and including 10 HP. The recoil is in good operating condition and the rope is as well.
