The Tennessee Furniture Co. Chattanooga, The maker of Cavalier-The Cadillac of Cedar Chest and later The Cavalier Coke Machine.

The Cavalier Furniture Company was founded in 1865 in Chattanooga,

Tennessee and was ideally located due to the proximity of high quality hardwood, skilled labor and rail connections. During the Depression (1935),

The company started a second line of business making soft drink vending machines. Not only did they make The Cadillac of Cedar Chest, they also made The Classic Coca-Cola vending machines that are so eminenty collectible today.

In the 1960s, they were taken over by The Seeburg Corporation, a manufaturer of Jukeboxes. Seeburg, in turn was the subject of a number of takeovers, court actions, looting, and bankruptcies. In the 1990s, Cavalier was spun off as an independent employee-owned company. They went completely out of business in 2001.

The building is still being used by TMIO Manufacturing Co. East 10th St.
