This is a custom built, hand crafted "Tow Mater's junkyard" bed I built for my son 7 years ago.
Everything wood was built from scratch and sanded smooth for safety. The entire bed has been stained, sealed, aged, hand painted and weathered for that radiator springs patina.
The metal signs are a mix of store bought pieces, actual license plates from antique stores and one that I hand hammered from a sheet of aluminum and painted to re-create Mater's actual license plate. The small signs on the fence/sides of the bed are actually magnets that can be removed, played with, swapped, etc. All of the newer signs have been painted to look rusty and old.
There's a storage area notched out under the front of the bed. The Mater sign hangs on the wall via a french cleat, has a hand carved wooden tow hook, real tires and a custom made barn light that is an actual working battery powered LED night light.
Also included are the oil can accessories that sit on each side of the bed and the pair of cozy cones.
It comes with a twin mattress (if you want it, understandable if you don't) and the entire bed disassembles to transport and move in and out of the house, as it is quite large. I have no written instructions for assembly, but I'm happy to take the time to explain the process to you.
