Mixed media, lacquered steel tube frame, center box and solid redwood slab top with meticulously peeled and sanded live edge. Stunning detail and colors, the cabinet doors are a mix of walnut, canary wood and edged with teak, the top is a solid slab of redwood from Northern California. Intense top wood grain looks a lot like a salmon fillet.
The top is heavy, 2 people are necessary to carry it, the sides and center easily detach from each other. It took many weekends to prep the top for finishing. The door panel layup was another summer project. The remainder of the door project plank layup that started out with 8 foot boards is 45 x 17.5 and will make a matching coffee table or multiple side tables.
