This is a fun, community-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys hosting, organizing events, and bringing people together. You’ll help create a welcoming, social atmosphere where guests can play, meet others, and enjoy the venue.
About the Event
We organize weekly chess meetups through the ChessBar app (https://www.chess-bar.com/) in bars and cafés. These events are similar to trivia or bingo nights and are designed to bring in customers during quieter weekday evenings.
Guests rotate through games, grab drinks, and meet new people in a relaxed, social setting.
ChessBar is currently operating in 14 countries, including about 12 cities in the U.S., and we’re expanding into Milwaukee.
What You’ll Do
Arrive at 7:00pm to set up
Welcome players and help them get started
Use a simple app to manage pairings (easy to learn)
Keep the event organized and running smoothly
Encourage a fun, social atmosphere
Take a few photos during the event
Coordinate lightly with bar staff
Help promote event
Compensation
Earn 50% of the net revenue generated from attendance
Events typically run 2 to 3 hours
As the event grows, your earnings grow with it
