The ADCOM GTP-500II has Magnetic Phono for a turntable, CD , Tape and Auxiliary inputs and an AM/FM Stereo Tuner with 8 station presets, high end motor operated volume control, full tone and input/output facilities and a full function remote control. It is in mint physical and electrical operating condition. Everything sounds very warm and musical. Couple it with a good power amplifier and you have a great sound that outperforms receivers costing many times more. It has been professionally aligned for maximum performance. This is the best of Adcom's Stereo Preamp/Tuner offerings and the only one that has magnetic phono inputs for a turntable, a remote control and both normal and Lab preamp outputs.
The Adcom GFA-5400 is a famous Nelson Pass designed High Current MOSFET stereo power amplifier with impeccable specs. It is part of ADCOM's fourth and best generation of amplifiers and has more power and a warmer, more detailed sound than the previous 545 and 545 II series of amplifiers. It has an extremely high S/N ratio and extremely low distortion. The amplifier is built like a tank with a toroidal transformer and top components as compared to many newer and cheaper amplifiers. Everything sounds very warm and musical and the amplifier is in excellent and like new operating and physical condition. The GFA-5400 has a conservative 125 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts RMS per channel into 4 ohms.
This is one of the later manufactured units and has the speaker protection module and a removable power cord that were not provided on earlier GFA-5400 units. The Bias and Offset Voltages have been set to the factory recommended voltages. Manuals are included.
