Program A Realistic Pro 59 Scanner
Using the frequency list that comes with the Realistic Pro-59 police scanner or a list of local frequencies (see Resources section), you can program up to eight channels to listen to police, fire, government or ambulance calls. The Pro-59 is a desktop scanner that operates on AC or dc power. two ranges 137-174 and 406-512 mhzThis programmable scanner can receive weather information several sources , and it has lockout features to customize the scanner to fit your needs.
Instructions======
1. Determine which frequencies to enter into the Realistic scanner. Write down the frequencies so you have a copy in case of a memory loss down the road.
2. Program the frequencies by pressing "Manual," and enter a channel number. Press "Manual" again. Use the keypad to enter the frequency including the decimal point. Press "Enter" to set the channel and frequency.
Note: The "decimal ./Clear" button can be pressed twice to erase an incorrect entry.
3. Repeat Step 2 until you have all of the frequencies entered. Press "Scan" when you are done programming.
4. Use the lockout feature to block a channel. Press "Manual" on the channel that you need to lock out. Press "Lockout" to block the channel. To unblock the channel, press "Manual" and enter the channel number on the keypad. Press "Lockout" to unblock the channel. Press "Scan" to start scanning.
5. Press "WX" to listen to National Weather Stations on the scanner. When the preprogrammed local station is found, it starts transmission. Stop listening to the weather by pressing "Scan."
