A true barn find. It was found in a Iowa barn, stored there for 60 years! The Iowa plates on it are from 1959. These year trucks are rare, and very hard to find, especially in this solid of condition. It currently has been partially disassembled to the point shown in the photos. Much has been done towards getting it back on the road, and leaving it in it’s great patina finish. For starters: The original 5 spoked wheels on it have been sandblasted and powder-coated a nice satin black finish. Then mounted on the restored wheels, 5 new period correct Coker tires with new inner tubes. Two of the five hubcaps are new. The original radiator has been recored and painted, ready for a new life. I even found a NOS stainless radiator cap for it. The windshield is new, as is the door glass, but one door glass somehow now has a crack in it. The wrong headlights were in it when i bought it, but i was able to locate two used original glass headlight lenses, including chrome headlight rings, backed with new stainless headlight reflectors for inside the housing. (Those new headlight ass’y. are shown on the truck in the first pics). I have alot of time and money invested in locating and buying new restoration parts. A complete, period correct wiring harness; new front radiator grille; water pump; die-cut cab wood floor sections; gas tank, gas cap, tank mounting straps, filler neck, grommet, tank fuel gauge ass’y.; boxes of many new smaller parts that i can’t remember at the moment of what is all here. It has what looks to be a good motor. Not the original 216 motor, but a newer, stronger 235 motor in it. The main block cylinder walls looked good enough to keep using it as is, but i took the head to a engine rebuilding machine shop, and they went thru it and gave it a complete rebuild, including adding hardened valve seats, so it can now be run on todays unleaded pump gas, without any issues. The engine bay and frame area have been pressure washed. It has a clean Wisconsin title in my name. I recently had to move it, so it is still on my trailer, as shown in some of the pics, with the new wheels/tires on it. $15,000. NO TRADES.
