These are from the John Irvin Beggs estate in Lake Country. A Chicago industrialist he was Wisconsin's wealthiest man at the time of his death in 1925. He is credited with the wide application of electric and gas especially to remote areas at the time like Oconomowoc, Delafield, Hartland. Thomas Edison played under these lights at his 75th birthday party at Begg's Island estate in Lake Country. This pair of floodlights are steeped in history.
