West Side Boat Shop Thunderbolt-X kayak for sale. The Thunderbolt is a racing/training/fitness kayak 21 feet long and 18" wide for experienced paddlers with good balance designed and built by Doug Bushnell in the USA. The kayak is constructed of a carbon/kevlar composite weave and weighs just 28lbs. There is an aluminum kick-up rudder. This kayak can be paddled at speeds up to 7mph and can keep up with most surfskis. The boat is approximately 12-15 years old and had one owner. Boat was always stored in a garage. You can watch an 8-minute video review of this kayak on YouTube by Dave the Kayaker. Included with the kayak are a nylon sprayskirt, cockpit cover, and full-boat custom travel/storage cover (blue cover shown in images). Epic wing paddle is available for separate purchase for $90.
