I am in the writing process for a project that's evolving. It's envisioned to be an experimental progressive rock band with influences from ambient, art rock, shoegaze, blues and good old jazz.

I have a few solid songs written for a concept album I'm looking to add other instruments. Most urgently, bass and drums. My primary instrument is guitar and vocals. There is a person on synth/samples and vocals. As the music evolves, anything from strings, brass, wind and percussive instruments will be considered where appropriate.

Some of our collective influences are: Porcupine Tree, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Primus, Pineapple Thief, Blur, James Brown, Gary Clark Jr., Jack White, Riverside, Gentle Giant, Opeth, ELP, Rush, Steven Wilson, Spock's Beard, Dave Brubeck, Alan Parson's Project, King Crimson, Traffic and Pink Floyd (of course!).

Our influences don't dictate the original content. My aim is to create new sounds that don't exist today or haven't in the past. Regurgitated content is not what I am looking to produce. Our main focus will be on original content with a cover here-and-there for adding some flavor.

If it sounds like you want to be part of this endeavor, give us a buzz. We have a jam space and access to a recording studio by 1st and National.

We meet at least twice a week and hope for more. Music is not a hobby. It's how we express and we take it seriously even though our day jobs draw away significant attention. We seek like minded passionate musicians who are willing to put the time in.
