Bronze Sculpture of a Young Boy Carrying Birdcages by Curtis Jere
This charming sculpture of a young man balancing bird cages upon his head dates to 1971, and it was created by Curtis & Jere.
Stands about 19 inches tall.
It shows normal expected wear and patina consistent with the age and it is exactly the way that I bought it. The cages are constructed with thin brass wire and this one is about as nice as I have ever seen. Many of them have cages that have been crushed flat. All of it has a nice patina.
Note: The bronze statue does detach from the base for shipping and is a tight fit.
These do not come up for sale very often and the only one that I could find currently for sale was listed for over eighteen hundred dollars.
