Gas Dryer for sale. Used works like new, great condition. My wife and I bought a house and sellers left dryer because movers couldn’t move it out.
Will need:
- 1. Gas supply line
• A metal flexible or rigid gas line that connects from your home’s gas shut-off valve to the dryer’s inlet.
• Includes a valve you can turn off (in emergencies) and must be properly sealed to avoid leaks.
• The manufacturer mentions a “4’ Gas Dryer Connector with 3 fittings, sealant, and leak detector” as an accessory.
2. Electrical power cord / connection
• Even though it’s gas, the dryer still needs electricity (for drum motor, controls, lights).
• Make sure your outlet and circuit meet the dryer’s specs (check manual).
3. Vent ducting
• You need a vent that takes hot moist air + lint from the dryer and sends it outside, not into your house.
• This includes a vent pipe (metal is preferred), a vent hood outside your home, clamps to attach the pipe, maybe a transition piece from dryer outlet to duct.
• The manufacturer lists metal vent kits.
4. Exhaust hood / termination outside
• At the outside wall there should be a vent cap/hatch to let the air out and keep bugs/critters from coming in.
5. Proper clearance & leveling
• The dryer needs to sit level so it doesn’t vibrate too much. The manual for model says qualified installer should do installation.
6. Safety devices & inspection
• Since gas is involved: you’ll want to check for leaks after installation (soap test or detector). The manual mentions leak-testing gas connections.
• You may need a vent cleaning or ensure vent path is clear (especially if replacing old dryer) to avoid fire risk.
