OfficeMax customer service says it sounds like a stripped gear. This is a "new" unit purchased less than 6 months ago for $49. OfficeMax replaced it and did not want the original unit. If you are a tinkerer or know one, maybe this is something you can fix. Otherwise into the landfill she goes.
