Do you like meeting new people? Giving back to your community? Do you have two hours a month to make a difference in someone's life? If so, we are looking for you. Patient volunteers visit hospice patients and provide socialization and companionship. Hospice patients are living in nursing homes or their own homes and are located in 7 counties across Southeastern Wisconsin.
Here are more Volunteer Opportunities:
Music Therapy: Can you sing, or play musical instruments? Play for one person or for a group.
Dog Therapy: Certified dog therapist to provide companion visits.
Massage Therapy: Certified massage therapist to provide hand and arm massage.
Spiritual Support: Reading the bible, praying familiar prayers according to patient's religious beliefs.
Abider: Sit with a patient whose death is imminent, but patient is in no pain. Playing music, handholding, and life review. On-call position.
