Six Officials and officers at the Milwaukee County House of Corrections are scheduled to go on trial in Federal Court in January, 2010. They are being sued by two Muslim ex-prisoners (Adib Timbuktu & Chad Parham) who allege that these officials engaged in a conspiracy against them and Islam wherein they were subjected to harassment, religious persecution, false imprisonment, psychological torture and cruel and unusual punishment.. In a 44 page complaint, the prisoners allege (among other things) that correctional officers obstructed them from prayers by forcing them to pray in between the bunks of other sleeping prisoners where on one occasion a prisoner passed gas directly into the face of Plaintiff Timbuktu while he was praying). Another allegation is that a jail official refused to release Plaintiff Timbuktu and falsely imprisoned him for 10 days after he was ordered released by the Court.
