I bought this commercial treadmill, completely refurbished, under 1 year ago. It is out of a YMCA where it had only been for a couple of years. I have a serious knee problem and need an extremely soft running surface to keep the problem from getting worse. This treadmill has the best deck I could find. It has held up well and worth the money. I figured for the cost of a new, high-end, personal machine or a refurbished used commercial machine I would spring for the used refurbished machine w/ a better deck. The only reason I am selling it is due to a relocation. It's too big to take w/ me, I'll look to get another one when I get there. $1500 OBO
