I must say I'm a little dissapointed that you have nothing to say about my

My point is this, Elmer: just as we wouldn’t allow extreme Christians in our society to kill based on the religion of others, neither should we accept the Muslims who kill others based on religion – we shouldn’t accept it when Muslims kill other nonbelievers or kill those that convert. However, we shouldn’t condemn Muslims who DON’T kill nonbelievers simply because OTHER Muslims do. The religion itself isn’t to blame; it is those that corrupted the religion that we should condemn. We don’t condemn every Christian for the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church or for the actions of those who bomb abortion clinics, and those who DO condemn every Christian for those actions are wrong to do so.
Are there questionable passages in the Qur’an that state when people should be killed? Yes, but like I said before most Muslims don’t follow those passages. Most Christians don’t kill people (or at least punish them the way that was proper during past times) who shave their beards, who have safe sex (though some do), who don’t follow proper cleaning rituals during menstruation, who don’t make proper offerings to God, and last but certainly not least, who don’t believe in God (for example Chapter 13 of Deuteronomy explicitly explains that prophets who preach other religious beliefs, family members who convert to other beliefs, and even entire towns that worship other gods need to be killed or destroyed).
Lay the blame of murder in the name of jihad against those who interpret the teachings of Mohammed to allow murder. That is, you cannot blame Islam for a Muslim who murders nonbelievers any more than we can blame Christianity for a Christian who murdered a nonbeliever. Does it happen more in Muslim culture than Christian culture? Yes. Does that mean we blame all Muslims? Heavens no. We blame radical teachers of Islam and those who murder.
As for the idea that Islam is a religion of peace, we need only look to the
nation of Iraq for the answer to that question.
That is in no way a pat on the back for christianity, though. The claim that
'christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world' is not true. The
church of christ has had a repulsive history of persecuting other religions
and even of persecuting other christian sects.
The ONLY reason that christianity does not present itself as the monster that
it truly is, here in America, is because of the just laws given by Thomas
Jefferson and James Madison: By putting all citizens on an equal political
footing regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof, AND by the
separation of church and State which prohibits the government from making any
laws on the basis of religion - the wind has thus been taken out of the sails
of persecution. That would have been a good starting point for Iraq. It is a
shame that none of our leaders, over there, has an understanding of that most
fundamental cornerstone of the American Idea or they simply lack the courage
to present it to the Islamic world.
That the world of Islam is peopled by persons of such a temperment as to
receive separation of church and State, still remains to be seen. There is
hope, though - as Bill Maher puts it: "Texans are blood thirsty and dim,

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Man gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that most Islams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven.
If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?" There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"
I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in Heaven. Is that correct?"
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to tha t of "a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar."
He sheepishly replied, "Yes."
I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope
John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.
Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them
a place in Heaven. The Imam was speechless.
I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you and
your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you
a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in
order for you to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because
I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be there with me?"
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification'
training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic
Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

Talking about a religion that is foreign to you, as though you can summarily denounce all people who would dare follow such a cause, is without merit, and without requisite aforethought. I sent it because "someone" (aka ERT) had made a posting about me that was rather salty about something I said against racism. I saw that it was quickly flagged away, so I decided to send an email to ERT via the above message to see whether he was still as silly as always.
2. A post appeared in RNR referring to the email that I sent to the above poster, this one http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/rnr/672021482.html to be exact. Surely the post shouldn't last long, what, since it has my email address in it and all, but magically it remains. Almost as though someone who knows that if you flag a post for "best of" using multiple ip's that it will last longer.

I am tempted to scam your IP address & tell Obama's camp that you should be Obama's VP.
I think Hillary's ego will not allow her to be Obama's VP even though the Dems would love it.
This will have two consequences: first, the media will paint a picture of how both Obama and Clinton were at each other's throats during the campaign, but somehow now are able to reconcile. This could be negative for the Democratic Party, since it casts the ticket as "unstable."
Second, the Republicans, instead of having one candidate to chastise for the remainder of the election year, will have both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to critique in their run-up to November. If McCain plays his cards right and picks a Republican VP that is highly respected (say, Chuck Hagel or someone near his stature) the GOP could have the stronger ticket.
He will absolutely not pick Condi Rice as his vp. I don't think she really wants to be in that position, and McCain is trying to distance himself from Bush; appointing Rice as his vp candidate would be a step in the wrong direction towards that end.
Pretty much anybody who gets to know me hates me. That's a given. You, sir, do not know me. I am a man, but think it is funny that certain people have always regarded me as a female due solely to my invoking enough anger in ERT for he and other racists to call me a c*nt (I don't think we can swear on the politics board). I thought I would check out Mr. Paine's work - I then discovered "The Age of
Reason," as well as his other theological works, and within a matter of weeks
(perhaps days) I was set free of the bondage of trinitarian christianity.
I work against christianity because it is a foreign religion, foreign to
western civilization - a polution in our society that needs to be removed.

party.' The father of modern Communism was Carl Marx - another ex-christian
minister. Even funnier - he was a communist because of the teachings of jesus
christ - the true father of communism.

For the record: I never threatened anyone. I did find an art graphic of a skull & cross bones that had a caption that said "repent or die" that I only intended as an art graphic.

I remember when you received that title - do you recall that you were being
flagged off here, and someone wrote 'An Appeal regarding Elmer' which pled
that your posts should not be flagged? I wrote that Appeal. That was back
in the day, November 2007 to be exact, that we were the only two posting in
this section - we had a rather lengthy discussion about the writings found
in "Eusebius' History of the Church, from Christ to Constantine." Also, we
had a rather heated (and thanks to your replys, colorful) argument about the
4th chapter of the book of Ezekiel.
ESQ then entered the picture. I think I recall that he was interested in our
theological arguments. You apparently have forgotten that Chris announced
the 'soon to be' birth of their infant - and saying that life was too busy to
post much, here. (Though I suspect the real reason ESQ has disappeared is
because of the embarrassing revelations that Obama is the monster that I
said he was all along.)
As for MeMe - she is a troll (I highly suspect that she was the one that was
organizing the 'flag fest' against your posts, here). She is currently troll-
ing on the Milwaukee RnR section. If you miss her that much, why not go there
and say hello.
I should also let you know that I did not post "Book Smear Exposed." Unlike
you, I'm against the death penalty - that's because I don't want the govern-
ment to have authority to kill any human being. I don't trust government that
much. (Hey, who is the 'true conservative' here, anyway?)
I have just gotten a new book called, "The Brother of Jesus." I have only had
time to read the introduction, but the author is examining all know writings
of the early church, with regard to James (author of the Epistle of James.)
The author's thesis is that James, not Peter or Paul, was the real 'first
Bishop' of the early church. I think I'm going to be in for some excellent
reading and I am excited about another perspective into the early development
of the church.
So don't feel bad about this section - it had quite a run during the Wisconsin
Primary, and it is now dying back down to the dead section that it always was.
(It is the same in all cities, BTW. Most people post their political stuff in
the RnR section.)
Anyway - you see, you have it all wrong about me. I do not post to troll, but
to provoke thought. My goal is to smash taboos that are destroying our city
