RTG – let’s get one thing straight, “The group you hang with” as you put it, is not my group. What I said is that I went to the tea party to see what it was all about. I went to see if the people were as angry, racist and hateful as reported. That is right, I took time to educate myself on the subject and not just listen to the party line or news reports. Did you go? Did you educate yourself? Have you spoken to these people and qualify their comments? If you didn’t I don’t think you have the right to speak to their motives, intelligence, etc.

Second, you are all about calling them sheeple but I didn’t see you respond to my rather accurate and documented demonizing of this group. Why not? I don’t believe we should demonize any group because they have different opinions then our own. It is through listening and debate that we learn. Don’t you agree, or have all your LOL posts got in the way.

As for the tea party I will agree to disagree with you. I don’t understand your need to demonize them because their policies are not to the left. I think in some cases these people have a legitimate beef which is not being answered by their representatives. At the end of the day it is each elected officials job to answer to their constituents one way or another. We will see how these people respond and that will bring us to the truth of who they are.

What I would like to know is why you think big government programs are better. I know we disagree on healthcare (or at least on how to achieve a better end) and you like to demonize profit (which by the way the average healthcare company has a profit margin about 3%, which makes them the 35Th most profitable industry) but can you point to a government program which is cost effective and run well. We have Trillions in unfunded liabilities in Medicare, our veterans receive below average care, why would you think that Nancy’s 2000 page bill would do better than these programs? Do you think the government has gotten better or more precise in the way the way they do things?
