My Grandmother has a Rat Terrier that is 2 years old. Grandpa passed away and now Grandma needs to move to a home that doesn't allow animals. :( Buster has a ton of energy!!! SO he needs someone active or that has a large yard for running around. He needs a new home ASAP!! Buster is kennel trained, up to date on all shots and he is fixed!!! Buster is also use to being around other dogs, cats and children! Here is a Q and A about Buster: How energetic is he? He just loves to play like a dog having fun, but he will chill out and watch TV w/ you too. His current weight and height? He is 25lbs and 17-18" when sitting from floor. Does he have fleas/recently had fleas? No Any medical/health problems? No How is he on a leash? He was trained on a leash in my Grandma's huge yard, but no longer needs a leash. He knows his limits. Is he collared or harnessed? He wears a collar. Is he able to be home without crating for short trips like errands? For about a 1/2 hour to 45min is fine, but my Grandma puts him in his crate if it will be longer then that. Buster likes his crate, he does not mind it at all. Do you have Vet records for him proving medical treatments and vaccinations? Yes. He is now due again for the vet in May, but my Grandma wants to do all that before he is given away. So even that will be taken care of and recorded. How is he around cats(we have two dog friendly de-clawed cats) He is very good with cats. My Grandma has a few cats and even kittens! She said Buster might chase a cat, but he would never hurt a cat. How is he around children? I have a 61/2 year old son and younger relative children visit a lot He is good around young children. My Grandma said he would probably love to play with a little boy. However Buster does get shy and barks and hides from older men. This is a quirk that I am sure he will get over with some TLC. Is he a barker/howler? No howling. He will bark if he hears noises. Does he sleep on furniture/beds? Yes, he will go on furniture to snuggle by my Grandma, but otherwise she kennels him. Does he like to be snuggled? Is he a lapdog? He does not sit on my Grandmas lap, but he will snuggle next to her. Is he friendly and socialized? As I mentioned we do travel to family and friends- most have pets of their own so socialization is important. Yes, he is around a lot of other people/visitors when they stop by. Does he get car sick? 99% of our travel is in a car. Usually around 2-3 hour drives one way. He does good in the car on the way to the vet. She has not taken any long trips w/ him. She suggested to bring his kennel with. When I drove him there 1 and 1/2 years ago he did great in the car. He just chilled out. ANY other quirks that would be helpful in determining that he goes to a good home like spots not to touch on him, afraid of the vacuum or thunder, doesn't like to go out when it is raining, only poops on whatever...things like that. He doesn’t like to go out in the rain, but he will. Then he wants to come in after the business is done. Buster loves to tear Kleenex and paper towel apart, so that would be a good thing to keep away from him. Buster is shy towards Men, but I am sure that can be fixed with some TLC. He won’t bite, but he will bark, be shy or hide from Men. I hope this helps. After asking all these questions to my grandma it made me fall in love with Buster all over again. :( I just hope I can find the right home for him. Also, my 7 year old daughter would love to come and visit Buster a couple times a year. So that will be a big decision maker when finding Buster a home. There will be a re homeing for Buster that will be determined with the right person.
Please let me know if you are interested in this PURE Rat Terrier.

Thank You!!!
