An Invitation to Make a Joyful Noise !
Do you sing?
Do you play a musical instrument?
Do you enjoy listening to Christian music?
House of Prayer recognizes the gifts of music in praise and has created a new opportunity for singers and musicians in the community.
Beginning Wednesday, May 7th and every first and third Wednesday of the month thereafter, House of Prayer will host a drop-in opportunity to "Make a Joyful Noise."
The only expectation is that you come with the sole intent of joining others to sing, play an instrument, or just to enjoy listening as those gathered make a joyful noise in songs of praise.
Date: Beginning Wednesday, May 7th
Schedule: First and Third Wednesdays of Every Month
Time: 6:30 to 7:30 PM
Place: House of Prayer

This singing is based on the model of "Sacred Harp" gatherings.
In particular, no harps are present.
The term "Sacred Harp" is often taken to be a metaphor for the human voice.
