Our rummage alone is going to be extra large as we are trying to scrape together funds to bring our son home from germany before he deploys to Iraq (just did afghanistan last year.) We have furniture, appliances, electronics, collectibles, art, tools, bikes,jewelry. Jafra clearance,sporting stuff, massive amount of xmas stuff. Much much baby stuff as well including pack and play, huge chain link dog kennel. Clothes in sizes from 0 baby to 4x and all ages, cds, dvds knick knacks and so so much more. Definitely something for everyone. The rummage is sat 7/19 and sun 7/20 from 8-4.(please please no early birds.... soooo much stuff to set out and early bird wont get a better deal) Also sunday at 4:30 pm we will have a free rummage with left over items that we will set on our curbs. Who created the first social center in the country and Bay View�s first library? Where is the only public well left in Milwaukee? Who were �puddlers� and where did they live?
You can learn the answers to these questions and more while visiting a dozen historic sites featured on the Bay View Historic District Walk, a two and a half-hour hour guided tour conducted by the Bay View Historical Society on Saturday, August 9th, at 9:30 a.m. Society members Ron Winkler and Todd Smith will lead the walk, which includes a tour of the Society�s headquarters, the historic Beulah Brinton House, led by Society member Bill O�Brien. This event is open to the public and includes light refreshments.
The walk was designed by the Society to help Bay View residents and visitors gain an appreciation of the history, architecture and lifestyle of the Bay View National Historic District. The district, which was listed in the State and National Register of Historic Places in 1982, includes 329 buildings that date as far back as the early 1870s. The tour will cover the area bounded by Estes Street, Shore Drive, Delaware and Potter Avenues. Tour participants will view sites including the house of one of Bay View�s first settlers, an original puddler�s cottage and the oldest surviving church built on lots donated by the Milwaukee Iron Company, and the city�s last remaining artesian well.
The walk starts at 9:30 a.m. and will begin and end at the Beulah Brinton House, 2590 South Superior Street. The cost of the tour is $5.00 for Society members and seniors, and $10.00 for non-members. Admission includes a tour of the Beulah Brinton House, a guided walk and light refreshments. Tickets may be reserved in advance by calling Diana David at 414-483-1285, or purchased from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at the Beulah Brinton House on the day of the walk.
The Bay View Historical Society, established in 1979, is dedicated to maintaining the Bay View community through conserving, celebrating and sharing Bay View�s rich heritage. With more than 500 members, it is one of the largest local historical societies in the area. The Society maintains headquarters at one of the most prominent historical sites in Bay View, the Beulah Brinton House. Built in 1872, it is considered to be among the best remaining Gothic Revival residences in the city and was formerly home to Beulah Brinton, a community leader who turned her house into an informal social center and Bay View�s first library. The Society also designates landmarks throughout Bay View and publishes a newsletter, The Historian, which contains articles of local historical interest. During the year, the Society conducts general membership meetings, historic walks and other social events. Membership in the Society is open to anyone interested in supporting the Society�s programs.

Art Catering by Jenn presents the 1st Fall Into the Arts- Juried Fine Arts Festival at Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Bloomington, IL. We are currently looking for artists to apply to participate in our show. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase.

They were very excited to find out that they were going to have their 4th child, but tragically right before Christmas Kathy lost the baby at 23 weeks into her pregnancy. Within a month she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. Due to the falling economy, Jeff's business has not been doing well and their medical bills are piling up. SHAW hockey is hosting a "Taste of Hockey" Aug. 2nd from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Have your children ever expressed an interest in the game of ice hockey? Now is the time to get them suited up to see if they really like it. SHAW will have equipment available for those that don't have their own. There will be plenty of people there to help and answer questions. This is all at no charge and no obligation. The Sheboygan Visual Artists Hosts its Second Gallery Night in Downtown Sheboygan

Sheboygan � July 9, 2008

The Sheboygan Visual Artists will host their second Gallery Night on July 18, 2008 from 6 to 9 PM. 8th and Michigan Avenue has been designated as the Heart of Gallery Night in downtown Sheboygan with most of the participating businesses being located off of 8th and Michigan Avenue. The final stop of the night will be at EBCO Artworks, which is located on 12th and Erie. The Paradigm Coffee + Music will have music performed by QuinnElizabeth from 6 to 9 PM and EBCO Artworks will have music performed by Jackie Wilson from 9 to 11 PM.

The Sheboygan Visual Artists will be exhibiting artworks during SVA�s Gallery Night on Friday, July 18 with a reception from 6 to 9 PM. The following SVA artists will be exhibiting works; they are Bill Weidner (paintings) at Urbane, Evie Grasse (watercolor) at Caffe Kita and Bonnie de Arteaga (contemporary prints) at O Restaurant. Emily DuFour (paintings) at Paradigm Coffee + Music; Joyce Babel-Worth, Steve Bowser, Dave Pethan, Nicole Schneider at TwoBit Productions and Ted Hamm (photography) at Inspire Yoga Studio. Also, Richard Biemann (photography), Brian Sommersberger (sculpture and prints), Margaret Hall (glassworks), Jason Lantagne (paintings), Diana Allen (photography and paintings), Rita Harmeling (paintings), Dan Sohre (giclee prints), Dale Knaak (paintings) and Dan Gardiner (paintings) at EBCO Artworks.
