Teach communication and conversation classes to elementary, middle, and high school age students. RESPONSIBILITIES:     (partial listing)<br>

	Supervise assigned children and all areas of program utilization.  <br>
<br>
	Develop appropriate lesson plans that utilize, but are not limited to the following areas:  Values, story telling, games, drama, arts and crafts, singing, multi-cultural activities, sports/fitness and homework help.<br>
<br>
	Facilitate and integrate multi-choice activities in a pressure free environment. <br>
<br>
	Model and explain appropriate behavior.<br>
<br>
	Use corrective steps to prevent, eliminate and deal with discipline problems.<br>
<br>
	Take attendance and conduct continuous student head counts. <br>
<br>
	Develop positive relationships with participants and provide motivational support and guidance.<br>
<br>
	Maintain good public relations and open communication with parents.<br>
<br>

QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
<br>
Individuals in this job must be at least 18 years of age; achieved a high school diploma or the equivalent; must complete one, department approved, course in early childhood education or be pursuing a higher education related to child care; and have the following abilities:  motivate and effectively communicate with members, parents and students; exercise mature judgment and sound decision-making; stay alert to potential safety and security problems; get along with people of diverse backgrounds; knowledge of state licensing requirements, lift a minimum of 70 lbs and have full range of body movement; capable of performing essential functions in all elements of weather; effectively communicate information of YMCA programs to members and participants.    CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention certifications must be obtained and maintained.  <br>

	Demonstrated ability to develop lessons and programming for children grades 1st through 6th grades<br>
	Prior experience working with diverse cultures preferred; ability to respect, value and honor diversity of children and families a must. <br>

A.	GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: <br>

La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. is seeking highly qualified candidates for two Family Services Worker positions to support the establishment of a new EHS program in Waukesha, WI upon successfully securing pending federal funding. <br>
<br>
The Family Service Worker serves as the EHS program recruiter, social services and parent involvement aide, child/family advocate, and primary liaison between families, the community, and other service agencies. The Family Service Worker assists in assuring program goals are met and practices comply with Head Start Performance Standards and other program components.<br>
<br>
Identification, Recruitment and Management<br>
1. Identifies, recruits, and enrolls eligible children/families into EHS program.<br>
2. Proactively establishes contacts and connections with public and private community agencies to facilitate effective program operation and follow-up.<br>
3. Enhances family/community awareness of the program through local advertising.<br>
4. Contacts local agencies and secures their permission to recruit children/families on their premises for the EHS program.<br>
5. Explains to EHS families the educational, health, nutritional, and social benefits of the program.<br>
6. Requests and records information on all documentation necessary to certify eligibility.<br>
7. Provides information to parents about the various program services and their childs program activities.<br>
8. Provides appropriate translation/interpretation necessary for effective communication.<br>
<br>
Resource Development<br>
1. Serves as the primary liaison between families, the community, and other service agencies.<br>
2. Provides communication and coordination with families and public/private community agencies to disseminate all program information.<br>
3. Assists the local Disabilities Specialists in effectively meeting child and family needs in accordance with all appropriate statutes and regulations concerning disabilities.<br>
4. Serves as liaison between Center staff and the family of a child with a suspected/diagnosed disability throughout the process of identification and diagnosis of the disability, local service planning, implementation and follow-up.<br>
<br>
Parental and Family Involvement<br>
1. Assists parents in recognizing their influence on their childs health and development.<br>
3. Assists in the planning and implementation of local parent governance activities. This should include attendance of its meetings, ensuring that minutes are taken, notifying parents of the meetings, and encouraging parental participation.<br>
4. Assists in the planning and implementation of local parent training activities.<br>
5. Assists in identifying family needs and makes referrals as appropriate to meet needs.<br>
6. Provides appropriate translation/interpretation necessary for effective communication.<br>

Communication and Training<br>
1. Assists the local management/supervisory, educational, and health staff in effectively meeting child and family needs.<br>

4. Assists educational and health staff in providing parents with information regarding the childs health and educational activities, attendance, and progress.<br>

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK CONDITIONS<br>

As a new instructor you will be typically work 3-5 classes per week. If you have tons of exactly the right kind of experience or are incredibly gifted in science AND classroom management, you may be asked to sign up for more. Each one hour class will take approximately 90 minutes to complete as you are required to be on-site 15 minutes before your class begins and it takes about 15 minutes to make sure kids are delivered safely to parents and to clean up. <br>

ABOUT THE PAY - The presenter/entertainer/instructor position is a part-time job. We pay a flat-fee of $22-30 per one-hour class. With set up and tear down it averages about $14-22 per hour. <br>

Develop appropriate follow-up plans for new hire Associates once they come out of initial training to insure success and/or reduce the cost of carrying non-performing staff. <br>
 Devise specific strategies, techniques and procedures within the fundraising and sales teams to achieve campaign objectives and goals for multiple non-profit arts organization clients. <br>
 Use and analyze associate performance reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to coordinate and initiate timely adjustments in fundraising, sales and training strategies for each campaign. Use this to develop one on one training plans for Associates. <br>
 Conduct periodic impact training workshops for the fundraising and sales staff to enhance their skills <br>
 Maintenance of company handbook and training manual  continuously updating and advancing training resources for Associates. <br>
 Verbal and/or written communication with clients. <br>

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: <br>

 Highly organized and deadline driven. <br>
 Enthusiastic and ability to develop targeted training programs to prepare our staff and follow-up on initial training. <br>
 Highly driven attitude with a knack for motivating staff to achieve company and campaign goals. <br>
 Experience working through substantial change and growth of a company very beneficial. Ability to shift gears quickly and efficiently based on changing needs and conditions. <br>
 Ability to work with myriad of personalities and adjust approaches as needed to carry out position. <br>
 Ability to take large volumes of information and consolidate and develop into effective and usable training materials and courses for inside sales/fundraising Associates. <br>
 Knowledge of the performance arts and how they operate  including symphony orchestras and theater companies. <br>
 SUPERIOR written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of comfort and skill working with office technology  including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Ability and desire to use technology to prepare and deliver training in a paperless environment. <br>
 BA/BS degree or equivalent. <br>
 Ability to work a 40-50 hour per week schedule with core hours of 9am-6pm Monday-Thursday and either Saturday from 8am-2pm or Sundays from 3pm-9pm. <br>

Note: Position requires travel to/work in our Chicago office 1-2 days/week or as necessary for training needs. <br>

The Line Therapist is responsible for understanding the definition of Autistic Spectrum disorder and appreciate the developmental implications this diagnosis has for a child.  The Line Therapist  provides one on one in-home therapeutic services to client children in accordance with the therapeutic plan as well as all applicable federal, state regulations, organizational policies and standards of professional practice.  <br>
<br>
Essential Functions<br>
1.  Provide a minimum 6 hours per week of one on one treatment with target child adhering to the program designed by the Senior Therapist.<br>
2.  Attend weekly team meetings led by the Senior Therapist to discuss clients progress, challenges encountered, goals, etc.<br>
3.  Receive weekly one on one supervision from Senior Therapist during therapy with your target child to allow Senior Therapist to evaluate performance and offer instruction and coaching.<br>
4.  Collect and record data accurately in the data book in accordance with guidelines established by Senior Therapist.<br>
<br>
Requirements<br>
1.  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.<br>
2.  Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information pertaining to target child, family, therapists, staff and any case issues.<br>
3.  Ability to work in cooperation with Senior Therapists, clinic Supervisors, doctors, and family members in the successful delivery of therapeutic care.<br>
<br>
Qualifications <br>
1.  Minimum 18 years of age<br>
2.  High School diploma or equivalency required.<br>
3.  Completion of one year of college level study desired.<br>
4.  Previous employment or volunteer experience with preschool children in a therapeutic or educational setting desired.<br>

Individuals in this job must be at least 16 years of age, previous aquatics background preferred and have the following abilities:   demonstrated ability to teach the development of swimming skills; instruct and observe proper stroke techniques; offer patient and caring instruction to children and adults with physical and/or mental disabilities; motivate and effectively communicate with members, parents and students; exercise mature judgment and sound decision-making; stay alert to potential safety and security problems; get along with people of diverse backgrounds; lift a minimum of 50 lbs and have full range of body movement; effectively communicate information of YMCA programs to members and participants.  CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications must be obtained and maintained.  <br>

Trainers will use an innovative and immersive Disney program, leveraging Disneys beloved characters, stories, songs, animation and other materials, to provide a highly engaging and effective premium learning experience.  <br>
The English Language Trainer reports to the Language Learning Director (LLD) in the Disney English Language Learning Center.<br>
<br>
Main Responsibilities<br>
 Become proficient in delivering the Disney English interactive content and comprehensive classroom/home delivery of Disney English including the on-line parent portal.<br>
 Use scripted printed materials, multimedia and a variety of audio-visual aids. There is emphasis on dialogue, story-telling, singing and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature are also used.<br>
 Work with local Assistant Trainers to ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end as scheduled. <br>
 Prepare lessons, realia, print materials, technology and supplemental materials prior to the start of each class.<br>
 Attend weekly meetings with the LLD to communicate all pertinent student and classroom management issues.  <br>
 Participate in outside of classroom academic, marketing and Center social events as needed <br>
 Collect audio & visual portfolio evidence of language learner work during lessons. <br>
 Provide private lessons to young language learners as required due to learner absences or for students that are falling behind the class.<br>
 Deliver both formal and informal assessments and progress reports throughout the program and keep close oversight on all learner records.  <br>
 Interact with both parents and young language learners in a way that makes language learning fun, engaging and educational.<br>
 With local Assistant Trainers, maintain strong communication with parents as to their childrens progress by means of the Teacher/Parent portal and ongoing communication during performances, phone calls and parent/teacher conferences<br>

Job qualifications:<br>
 Bachelors degree required; advanced or education degrees preferred<br>
 Minimum of 2 year experience teaching to children (preferably ESL or EFL)<br>
