I purchased this Avent hand pump for my second child thinking that I would need to be more portable about pumping and feeding. I ended up using my electric pump any time that I wasn't nursing. I did use it once, just to see how it worked. Worked well, would be a great substitute to buying the expensive pump if you don't plan to be away from your baby too much. All parts and pieces can be sterilized and they connect directly onto your Avent bottles for ease of use and storage.
